The Appleton North Booster Club depends on volunteers to help with its many activities, including concession stand sales. This year, every North athletic family is expected to assist with concessions during at least one sporting event during the school year. Approximately 425 volunteers are needed, and there are over 100 events per year to choose from, so finding one that fits into your schedule will be easy.

Team Booster Club Representative

The purpose of the Team Parent Representative for the Booster Club is to have a direct communication link between the Booster Club and each school sports team. Your commitment is for the full duration of the current school year, including outside of your own child’s sports season. For Winter and Spring sports, your role will carry over to the following school year. If you are a parent of a current senior, please designate another parent to cover any subsequent school-year carryover time.

Role and Responsibilities of Team Parent Reps include:

TEAM COMMUNICATION LIAISON

  • Team Parent Representatives are the communication point of contact between your student’s sports team and the Booster Club Parent Representative Coordinator and/or Concessions Coordinator. You may be asked to reach out to your team or forward messages from the Booster Club.

  • School-wide Team Parent Representative communication will be on the SportsYou platform, and you will be asked to join.

  • You are encouraged to attend the monthly Booster Club Meetings (second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Library Media Center - LMC) to share team and athlete successes, learn about upcoming activities, and discuss topics. If you are unable to personally attend a Booster Club meeting, updates can be shared on your behalf through communication with the Booster Club Parent Representative Coordinator.

  • Assist with informing your student’s team parents of Booster Club support for your student’s sport and athletic program.

  • Encourage your team parents to join the Booster Club!

    • Team Parent Reps should encourage their team parents and student athletes to volunteer at sporting event concessions (for your own sport as well as other school sporting events).

    • Sign-ups for all home sporting event concessions will be set up by the Booster Club Parent Rep Coordinator.

    • If you are the Parent Rep for a sports team that has concessions, you will need to monitor the status of sign-up volunteers & vacancies. If more volunteers are needed for an event, please reach out to your own student’s team and, if needed, reach out to the Booster Club Parent Rep Coordinator to request outreach to other Parent Reps and teams to assist with filling vacant volunteer spots. ANNUAL GOLF OUTING FUNDRAISER - TEAM RAFFLE BASKET

  • Team Parent Reps are the team's point of contact for this annual Booster Club fundraising event. You will be asked to forward communication to all your team parents.  

  • Coordinate a “team raffle basket” for the annual Booster Club Golf Outing that occurs every June.

    • Duties include gathering team donations/contributions, preparing the raffle basket, and delivering it to the Golf Outing Planning Committee.
